Created Flutter first in 2020. For quite some time it was just a one-hand combo move. But then I realized it had to be part of a four packet spinny move and spent the next 3 years figuring out how to make that happen. While I don't know how to do Mockingbird or Nimbus the structure of Hummingbird is very much inspired by those two moves. Had 90% of the structure decided by 2022 and after a lot of iterating settled on the current iteration in 2024. I hope to be able to do it with a full deck some day. We'll see if I ever figure that out.
Discovered the move on a video call with Duy & Hung. When Hung randomly said something along the lines of I wish I could spin two cards in one hand. I attempted it and figured out the core mechanics within minutes. Simultaneously felt very blessed to have discovered it and cursed to be obligated to perfect it. I also blame Shiv for pushing me to do the move with packets. Wasted a lot of my time on this detour. As a result, I still have not built an iso routine around Double Barrel.
Fireworks is a unique flourish that does a spring whilst in the middle of a two handed cut. The original move was created by Haider Ahmad, with some additional closers being done by Koa Rabang. ]=
Cadence is an intricate move composed of multiple packet cuts, displays, and unique flows. This move won Move of the year 2025, awarded by Cardistry Con.
Holy Grail, less commonly known as Azlan’s Cut, is a construction-based display featuring a diamond-shaped structure framed by packets at the top and bottom. It is built step by step by pushing successive groups of cards back into the deck, then completed with a single motion that "unlocks" the entire structure by spreading the fingers. The move was first presented at Cardistry-Con 2025 in New York. At Cardistry World 2026, Samuel shared that a Scam School video on how to drop a card inspired him to create Destiny.
