Yang Nguyen
2017

Inspired by Excuse Me by Henrik Forberg. Yang was trying to pick up the move while incidentally created a new mechanic that still has the same spirit as Excuse Me. The name Windrunner is a direct reference to a character from Warcraft III.

Riffle Fan
Riffle FanLV 5
Dimitri Arleri
2017

Riffle Fan is created by evenly spreading the cards into a circular fan while riffling them. The entire fan is balanced on the tip of the index fingernail or thumbnail, allowing the cards to slide and rotate around a central pivot. The main challenge is finding the right balance between gravity and support. Applying too much upward pressure prevents the cards from sliding smoothly, while too little causes the fan to collapse.

Super Fan is a fan in which interlaced cards slowly expand into a circular display under tension. Mechanics The cards are positioned similarly to a Cascade, forming a "V" shape. The interlaced section is supported with the other hand, while the thumb and middle finger grip the outer ends and bring them together. When the hand is moved away, the stored pressure causes the cards to rotate around pivot point, creating the characteristic fan. Variations Popular variations include: A fully one-handed version, including the interlacing and tensioning of the cards. A double Super Fan, where two fans are created simultaneously, with the cards sliding on the thumb and middle finger of the opposite hand. First appearing in Liquid Paper in 2016, Snake Charmer was inspired by the opener of Kevin’s cut Satellite, Dan and Dave’s Molecule 3, and the closer of Tobias Levin’s Acridid. The right-hand cut is called Sputnik, a reference to the world’s first artificial satellite.

2016

Lucid is a flourish performed in Daniel Lin's Cardistry Con Championship finals. It is a move with flashy spinning packets at its opener and then slows down to make way to a packet going around the hand with a mechanical movement as its closer so that all packets get side by side and are squared up.

Dropout is a fun and easy combo move which enables you to retain one or two cards in your hand after dropping a packet. It was first featured in Oliver's video 'Offhand' and has since become popular due to its practicality. Credits to Paul Harris for the Simple Switch and to Lonnie Dilan's for his move Bionic (the one card clip using the index and middle finger).
